Meet Clayton Fuller
Clayton Fuller serves as the District Attorney for the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit—a four-county circuit in Northwest Georgia. In this role, he is the top prosecutor across the four counties and prosecutes some of the circuit’s most violent and heinous crimes. He secured convictions in numerous jury trials, including murder, rape, and armed robbery—resulting in life sentences for the perpetrators. In addition, he has argued criminal cases before the Supreme Court of Georgia and the Court of Appeals of Georgia. Clay is also a Major and a Deputy Staff Judge Advocate in the Air National Guard, where he has been rated the #1 mid-career officer by his Wing leadership, and has earned the Air Force Commendation and Meritorious Service Medals.
From 2018-2019, Clay was one of fourteen Americans appointed by President Trump to serve as a White House Fellow. During that time, he served in both the Office of the Vice President and the Department of Defense, and advised on the response to the opioid crisis as well as improving processes that impact POW/MIA families. He also assisted senior Pentagon and National Security Council leaders with oversight of the worldwide employment of special operations forces in counterterrorism.
After leaving the Trump administration, Clay and his wife Kate founded Atticus Impact Investing, a strategic investment firm focused on revolutionizing the economies of Appalachian small towns. The idea for Atticus came as a result of Clay’s personal victory over cancer in 2013, which inspired him to leave Air Force active duty and focus his efforts on fighting rural poverty in his native North Georgia, renewing of local communities, and fighting the opioid and fentanyl epidemics.
Raised in the north Georgia mountains, Clayton Fuller was captain of the basketball team at Emory University and graduated with a B.A. in English before earning an M.P.A. from Cornell University and a Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University. He is a distinguished graduate of the Air Force’s Officer Training School and a graduate of the Marine Expeditionary Warfare School. He earned a Master’s Degree in Military Operational Art and Science with a Joint Warfare Concentration from the Air Command and Staff College in Montgomery, Alabama.

Clayton’s Priorities
America First Prosecutor
Clayton Fuller is committed to upholding the law as written, defending the integrity of the judicial system, and never allowing politics to supersede his duty to punish criminals. Clayton believes the rule of law is the defining principle of our legal system, and he will never shy away from calling out attempts by Marxist DAs funded by George Soros to use their offices to persecute their political enemies.
Keeping our Communities Safe
Clayton knows law enforcement officials are his allies. While radical DAs in areas such as Atlanta wage war on our police, Clayton stands shoulder to shoulder with them and helps to ensure that all resources of our combined offices are utilized to keep our communities safe.
Tough on Crime
Clayton Fuller has never let the District Attorney’s office be used as a tool by politicians to push their agendas. His job is to hold criminals accountable. Period. Clayton has worked with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies to hold lawbreakers accountable and take down criminal networks. This includes securing convictions for murder, rape, and drug trafficking along with bringing serial rapist James Works to justice after he escaped prosecution for decades.
Trusted Experience
As a White House Fellow in the Trump administration, Clayton Fuller was recognized with the Secretary of Defense’s Award for Outstanding Achievement for his work in counterterrorism. As a military veteran in the Air Force and an active member of the Georgia Air National Guard, he has spent over a decade defending our nation. During his unique career he has leveraged his top-tier expertise and work ethic to find success in diverse settings from the West Wing to rural courtrooms. Now as our District Attorney, Clayton has developed an unmatched record for convicting some of the toughest violent and sexual crimes in Northwest Georgia.
